Location, great views all round. Friendly staff..
On arrival there were jackhammers going full bore, dust and crap in carpark.. Uninspiring start. The room was the top floor/penthouse, poorly appointed, badly designed, furnishing was mediocre at best, tv sitting on floor on a large block of wood for example, plastic glasses in cupboards, no coffee table!! Not enough blankets, we had to strip the spare beds to get warm enough, air con on full heat was a non event, made not a scrap of difference, and in any case it is out in high ceilinged loungeroom, nowhere near the bedroom, so no effect felt in bedroom at all. Toilet lid broken, general maintenance poor. Noisy party in room below, thump thump all night...

The night porter was very polite- he had to stay late as our plane was an hour and a half late.
There werent enough warm blankets on the beds. There was one spare one in a cupboard which I put on one of the kids beds. I has one of the worst nights sleep ever because I was cold. We arrived very late at night and it wasnt until about 1200 am that I realised we needed more blankets. Also I thought the breakfast selection was very poor. There was no gluten free meal options at all. The staff at breakfast seemed vague and grumpy- we were glad to leave.

The location was pretty good
Breakfast, I would to have liked some variety and clean plates. Extra pillows and blankets would make it more comfortable. Most motels keep extras in the wardrobe. We had to ask for more, but motel was short of pillows so couldn't supply us.

location was great
Very very very noisy. Traffic noise was bad throughout but the worst was noise from rooms above - the slightese noise gets transferred. Also a raucous party was allowed to continue unti past 4am just 2 floors above - music, singing and shouting. No staff were araound to complain to and the noise only abated after the police came and atteneded the complaint.A very unsatisfactory stay.

I absolutely loved the Komune resort, the location was perfect for quick access to the beach, buses, shopping, food and nightlife. The travellers i met while staying at Komune were friendly and heaps of fun to hang out with. The staff were helpful and just as friendly and willing to assist in any requests I had. Even to make me new cocktails! For a lone female traveller the Komune was safe for me and for my belongings.I will be travelling and staying at Komune again and have recommended it to all my friends and family.
The only downside i found with the resort was, they had Birthday parties running 2 out of the 4 nights i was staying and was not informed of this. The party punters were upstairs in the dorms, slamming doors all night and running a muck, they were rude and disrespectful of the paying Komune resort holidayers. Shame really. But not the fault of the Resort. It is human nature i guess. Still had a great time.

Right across the road from the beach, great views.
It is not well kept, not clean, very basic furnishings - all too much of a backpackers for such a lovely location and building that has huge potential. Not to mention lift breakdowns and a party-bar all night downstairs in a very small lobby area!

There is a very nice pool and spa area
The room was not as clean as i would have liked the fans were visably dirty the shower glass was also not clean and on arrival the toilet was used and not flushed by a previous occupant YUK so had obviously not been cleaned prior to our arrival. The glass doors to the blacony were also covered in hand prints and smudges.

At the end of the main street so was quiet but within walking distance to everything. The view from the 2 bed apartment was fantastic, watched the sunset every night and the ocean view was beautiful. Right across the road from the beach and Surf Club, Great location.
There was some renovations with the pool deck being made at the time so pool was off limits for a couple of hours. Breakfast very basic and had to ask staff to clean the table of plates before we sat down.

The position
The car park was stacked with rubbish from the resort. It was a building site. No Heating. No security as had someone come into our room at 1am using another room key. Even the staff could not get into the resort to arrange breakfast, the staff tried ringing owners to no avail.thus breakfast was very late. Door of garage was tied closed and staff member had to remove it with conciderable danger to them, so we could leave. The room was advertised with kitchenette which it did not have, Dirty Crockery and cutleryin breakfast area.

Great location to beach, walks . twin towns service club, Surf Livesavers club, shops, bus, restaurants, public transport. We parked our car for 3 days and had no use for it.
Is being renovated soon to finish but made the supplied breakfast area a bit noisy.
